Two men are accused in reference to the Rehtaeh Parsons
case, four months when the nova Scotia teenager’s family had complained that
she killed herself when she was gang-raped and a mobile phone picture of the
alleged assault was circulated among her college peers.
In a joint conference Thursday evening, the Royal Canadian
Mounted Police and Halifax Police aforesaid that an 18-year-old male from
halifax is looking 2 counts of dispersion of child pornography, and a second
18-year-old male is looking charges of creating child pornography and
distributing of creating.
RCMP Chief Superintendent Roland Wells aforesaid that each
men are going to be released on the promise to seem in court on August. 15. The
names of the defendant are not being released as they were young offenders at
the time of the incident, he added.
“We hope that today’s arrests facilitate the whole community
to heal. A young lady has died in what's a tragic set of circumstances,” he said.
“We all have to be compelled to replicate on how we tend to as a community will
come together in Rehtaeh’s memory and see what we will do to work together to
support our youth.
Halifax police officer Jean-Michel Blais aforementioned
there was inadequate proof to support sexual assault charges within the case.
“The proof before us didn't support the doing it of sexual
assault charges within the first investigation complete in November 2012. once
the investigation in April of this year, investigators again examined whether
or not charges may be arranged and

Her family says she was raped in Nov, 2011, once she was
fifteen, by four boys throughout a party at a friend’s home in the Halifax
